RICHMOND, Va. (WFXR) – The Virginia Lottery released its report on sports wagering activity submitted by licensed operators during the month of August – the seventh full month of reporting since legal sports betting was launched in Virginia back in January.
During the month of August, Virginians wagered $182,418,252 which represents a 13 percent increase from July’s wagers.
Virginia bettors won a total of $171,319,464 for a combined 9.85 percent operators win percentage.
Virginia’s sports betting catalog of approved leagues and events continues to expand, says the Virginia Lottery, and through the end of August, bettors have wagered a combined total of $1.48 billion on everything from baseball to preseason NFL football.
The eight licenced operators included in August’s reporting were Betfair Interactive US LLC (FanDuel) in partnership with the Washington Football Team, Crown Virginia Gaming LLC (Draft Kings), BetMGM LLC, Rivers Portsmouth Gaming LLC (Rivers Casino Portsmouth), Caesars Virginia LLC, WSI US, LLC (Wynn), Unibet Interactive, Inc., and Penn Sports Interactive LLC.
