Online Gambling Addiction: the Relationship Between Internet Gambling and Disordered Gambling

Internet gambling is the fastest growing mode of gambling and is changing the way that gamblers engage with this activity. This paper presents research to inform a greater understanding of adult participation in Internet gambling, features of this interface that may impact problem severity, the relationship between Internet gambling and related problems, as well as considering the role of the wider spectrum of gambling behaviour and relevant individual factors that moderate this relationship.

Call for Proposals: Canadian Centre on Substance Abuse and Addiction


The Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction (CCSA) is seeking proposals from qualified Canadian contractors to conduct a comprehensive literature review and meta-analysis collecting scientific publications (peer-reviewed and grey literature) on the gambling risks across different sub-populations (e.g., older adults, adolescents and emerging adults, minorities, different genders).

Call for Applications: U of Sydney Gambling Treatment Clinic and RG Research Group

 

The University of Sydney Gambling Treatment Clinic (GTC) and Responsible Gambling Research Group accepts applications for student Internships for early career researchers on a rolling basis.

The GTC provides treatment for gamblers and family members and the research group conducts world leading research to inform the understanding of gambling and minimise gambling-related harms.
