After an arduous four-year process, Lotería de Concepción has achieved the highest international certification in Responsible Gaming, becoming the first and only institution in Chile to achieve this prestigious recognition. The distinction, awarded by the World Lottery Association (WLA), highlights Lotería de Concepción's commitment to the principles of responsibility, integrity and professionalism.
The “Level 4” certification was made official in December 2023, marking a significant achievement for the Chilean institution. Mario Parada, general manager of the Lottery, said: “This certification is not only a source of pride, but also imposes a significant responsibility before society and the country.”
Lotería de Concepción has aligned itself with the principles of the WLA, committing to protect customers and vulnerable groups, promote responsible and legal gambling, provide accurate and balanced information, as well as foster awareness about the social impact of gambling.
This achievement has been realized through key initiatives, such as awareness campaigns, collaboration with health institutions, prevalence research and the implementation of Gamgard software to measure risk levels in games.
The gaming entity has also strengthened the training of its staff through an E-learning platform and has actively participated in educational events, such as the seminar on Responsible Gaming held by the Superintendency of Casinos and Games and the University of Concepción.
Additionally, Lotería de Concepción has joined as a regular member of the Ibero-American Corporation of State Lotteries and Betting (Cibelae) , consolidating its commitment to promoting responsible practices in the gaming industry.
With a special congratulations from Cibelae for the great achievement achieved, Lotería de Concepción reaffirms its position as a leader in the sector, demonstrating its dedication to excellence in responsible gaming.
