National Council on Problem Gambling invites applications for Agility Grants
February 2, 2023
Deadline: February 28, 2023
The mission of the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG) is to lead state and national stakeholders in the development of comprehensive policy and programs for all those affected by problem gambling.
To that end, the NCPG invites applications for its Agility Grants program, which awards funding to nonprofit organizations nationwide for problem gambling prevention programs. The goal of these grants is to fill in gaps for areas that currently have no such services, as well as bolster promising efforts in existing programs.
Agility Grant funding will support prevention programming innovation and amplification, including new activities, validation of promising initiatives, or expansion of proven programming. Applications will be evaluated on several criteria, including alignment with the Agility Grants program principles and funding pillar strategies, as well as anticipated community impact. The program’s strategic pillars include:
Prevention Innovation: To foster and accelerate the development, deployment, research, and evaluation of model problem gambling prevention programs and curricula to address key at-risk and priority populations such as high school and college athletes; marginalized communities, especially communities of color; and middle school students.
Prevention Amplification: To increase community awareness, response, and support through the identification and elevation of new leaders, new partnerships, and new voices within the problem gambling community—especially prioritizing youth and leaders of color.
Grants between $20,000 and $40,000 will be awarded, with a total of $175,000 to be awarded in the spring 2023 round.
