Dutch Gambling Regulator Hands Out More Fines This Week

Dutch Gaming Authority Kansspelautoriteit (KSA) has imposed a fine of 350,000 euros on CyberRock Entertainment NV and Honeydew Trading Limited

Kansspelautoriteit (KSA), Dutch regulator spoke this week on additional fines they imposed on two different online gambling companies. The fines were imposed for the two websites offering unlicensed and illegal gambling services to players in the Dutch market. The Dutch regulator commented on the fines this week naming the two online websites. One is a Cyprus-based firm and the other is based out of Curacao.

The two have been accused of conspiring by offering their online games and their websites as if they were regulated in the Netherlands. Both websites had an “almost entirely Dutch-them”. Neither one of the companies has commented on their penalties.

Kansspelautoriteit has strict rules and regulations for their region and do not tolerate illegal operators trying to take over and draw players in. Regulations have gotten stricter over the years especially this year with each governing body striving for more control over their regions or territories.

The KSA’s Chairman René Jansen commented on the pursuance of international operators targeting Dutch players saying,
