Brown Giordano Named West Virginia Lottery Deputy Director of Marketing
CHARLESTON, W.Va. – West Virginia Lottery Director John Myers has announced the hiring of Kayla Brown Giordano as the Lottery’s Deputy Director of Marketing.
“I am excited to be in a position to leverage the Lottery’s enhanced technologies and optimize our game portfolio to increase retailer and player satisfaction,” Brown Giordano said. “I look forward to helping create and manage the foundation for future, sustainable sales growth for the West Virginia Lottery.”
The Delbarton native has served as the Lottery’s Retailer and Vendor Relations Manager for the last four years. She was the project lead for the Lottery’s traditional gaming system conversion and managed all of the project deliverables to ensure a successful migration for all end users, including the Lottery, Lottery retailers, and Lottery players. Shortly following the System project completion, she also served as the project lead on the development and deployment of Lottery’s mobile convenience app.
Brown Giordano, a Promise Scholarship recipient, earned both a B.A. in Business (2009) and a Master’s in Business Administration (2011) from Marshall University. She began working for the West Virginia Senate in 2009 and continued working at the Capitol as a legislative analyst for the Senate Judiciary Committee, until joining the West Virginia Lottery’s marketing staff in 2013.
She replaces Tommy Young who took a position with the West Virginia Department of Education last November.
