The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) has appointed Ojie Okojie as the agency’s chief financial officer (CFO).
Okojie joins the AGCO from Ontario’s air ambulance Ornge, where he was the director of financial planning, treasury and analysis for the past seven years.
Before that, he was the financial planning and analysis manager and aviation finance manager at the company, and also served as Canadian finance controller at logistics giant DHL.
The regulator noted that Okojie’s experience in navigating complex financial landscapes and liaising with government bodies will be invaluable in his new role.
“Ojie is a dynamic and forward-thinking leader with a proven record of leading financial transformations and strategic initiatives. His extensive experience, vision and leadership will be significant assets to the AGCO executive team,” said the AGCO.
Okojie is the latest addition to the AGCO’s senior leadership team following the recent appointment of Lucie Walker as chief human resources officer.
