The Lottery Corporation has named Celeste Lowe as its new chief information security officer, leading - among other things - a three-year cyber security uplift program of work.

She has also previously held roles at Nine and Qantas.

Lowe replaces David Jenkins at The Lottery Corporation, who it’s understood resigned from the CISO role back in May.

In an email to employees of The Lottery Corporation, sighted by iTnews, CIO Loren Somerville said Lowe brought “over 25 years of experience enhancing enterprise cyber security for local ASX and global companies.”

“The CISO role is integral to maintaining our cyber security defences, ensuring the delivery of our security strategy and secure solutions, maintaining cyber security and technology risk, governance and external certification, and delivering our three-year cyber security uplift program,” Somerville said.

Lowe said in a statement that she was “drawn to The Lottery Corporation by its culture, which emphasises collaboration, teamwork, and supportive leadership - exactly how I love to work.”

“The unique challenges and opportunities in The Lottery Corporation's digital and dynamic environment also caught my interest,” she said.

“I'm excited to evolve the cyber strategy and enhance the cyber and risk delivery function".
