Monday, May 27, 2019 11.30 | Theme: The Black Swan
Nassim Nicholas Taleb spent 21 years as a risk taker (quantitative trader) before becoming a researcher in philosophical, mathematical and (mostly) practical problems with probability.
The Black Swan (unpredictable events) explains why we are so bad at predicting the future, and how unlikely events dramatically change our lives if they do happen, as well as what you can do to become better at expecting the unexpected.
We have reserved a large number of hotel rooms at very competitive rates and fair conditions in various hotels of different categories. The majority of the hotels are located near the congress venue or in direct vicinity. We would recommend you to book your room as soon as possible.
The venue called Flanders Meeting and Convention Center Antwerp (FMCCA) is located in the heart of the city of Antwerp and next to the beautiful ZOO of Antwerp. Before and after the interesting keynotes at our conference or the intensive meetings you will have, you can relax alongside the lions and giraffes.
The Congress will take a flying start with a spectacular opening show on Sunday, 26 May 2019 with a special performance by Shelby Williams, ‘the Biscuit Ballerina’ and the Royal Ballet of Flanders who will perform a show ‘Chance’ that is specifically created for the Belgian National Lottery!
