Brazil’s senate has voted in favour of a bill that will create a new retail and online sports betting lottery, just days after the measure passed the lower house.

The lottery was included in the Provisional Measure 846/2018, which will divert a greater share of lottery funds towards public security, sport and culture in Brazil.
