LOTTERIES

  • The increase in revenues is mainly attributable to sales of the new Grande Vie terminal lottery (+ $ 38.6 million), launched in October 2016.
  • Instant lottery sales also increased (+ $ 32.7 million), as did event betting (+ $ 8.1 million).
  • In the course of 2017, Loto-Québec paid more prizes of $ 1 million or more to the lottery than ever before. The Company awarded 107 lots of this size, making 132 millionaires.

CASINOS

  • All four casinos experienced revenue increases ranging from 5% to almost 11%.
  • The increase in revenues can be explained in particular by the marked increase in ridership for the entire supply. The overall number of visits increased by 320,000 (+ 4.6%) compared to the same dates last year.

GAME ESTABLISHMENTS

  • The sector experienced a slight increase in revenues, mainly due to the good results of the gaming shows, where ridership continued to increase. The shows received some 42,000 more visitors (+ 6.5%) than the same dates last year.
  • The reconfiguration of the video lottery terminal (VLT) network in bars and breweries is proceeding as planned. Halfway through the schedule, more than 500 VLTs had been removed from the network.

ONLINE GAME

  • Loto-Québec's online gaming site has generated $ 82.9 million in revenues since the beginning of the year - for all types of games - representing a favorable variance of $ 24.6 million (+ 42.1%).
  • The new version of the recently launched lotoquebec.com portal facilitates navigation among the different products.
