Texas Lottery And Dallas Cowboys Launch New Scratch Ticket Game For 2025 Football Season
AUSTIN — The Texas Lottery and the Dallas Cowboys are celebrating the arrival of the 2025 football season with a new Cowboys-themed scratch ticket game and promotional second-chance drawings. This is the 17th year the Texas Lottery and the Cowboys have collaborated to offer fans the opportunity to show support for their team with chances to win cash prizes or exclusive must-have items and experiences. The $5 game for the new season launched on Monday, Aug. 18 and is available at Texas Lottery® retailers where scratch ticket games are sold.
“Our Cowboys scratch ticket game has been a fan favorite going back almost two decades,” said Sergio Rey, acting deputy executive director of the Texas Lottery. “We’re proud that our long-standing partnership with the team has generated more than $102 million for public education in Texas, while giving players the chance to win top prizes and once-in-a-lifetime experiences. We look forward to continuing this successful partnership and delivering exciting prizes to Texas Lottery players.”
The new Cowboys scratch ticket game offers more than $29.8 million in total cash prizes, including four top prizes of $100,000, and more than 2,100 non-cash, second-chance prizes. Overall odds of winning an instant-win cash prize are one in 3.80, including break-even prizes.
Since the first Dallas Cowboys scratch ticket game launched in 2009, the annual Cowboys-themed games have generated more than $505.3 million in sales, with an estimated $102.6 million of that total being transferred to the Foundation School Fund, which supports public education in Texas. During that time, $353.7 million in prizes from the game has been awarded to winners and $25.3 million in commissions has been transferred to retailers around the state.
“Two things always stand out for me as I think about our long and impactful relationship with the Texas Lottery and the Cowboys scratch ticket game,” said Dallas Cowboys Owner, President and General Manager Jerry Jones. “The first is how this promotion has now raised over $100 million dollars for public education in Texas. The second is when we host the second-chance drawing winners in our Cowboys draft room on the opening night of each season’s NFL Draft. Being able to create that kind of impact and having fun doing it is something we can all be proud of.”
Players can enter non-winning Cowboys scratch tickets into any of the five promotional second-chance drawings to be held throughout the run of the game for a chance to win experiential prizes, including a Dallas Cowboys Wild Weekend Suite Package, an Exclusive Draft Day War Room Experience, a VIP Training Camp Experience, Season Tickets for two or a $500 Pro Shop Gift Card. Before entering non-winning tickets into the drawings, Texas Lottery players must register or already be registered with the Texas Lottery Luck Zone.
The five entry deadlines for the separate second-chance drawings are: Sept. 19, Oct. 24, Nov. 28, 2025 and Jan. 16, 2026, with the deadline for the final drawing date yet to be determined.
