TEXAS LOTTERY LAUNCHES NEW SCRATCH TICKET GAME TO SUPPORT TEXAS VETERANS

Non-winning $30,000 Cash scratch tickets are eligible for discount in the National Medal of Honor Museum Gift Shop

AUSTIN — The Texas Lottery is introducing $30,000 Cash, its newest $2 scratch ticket game dedicated to supporting Texas veterans. The game, which launches on March 17, offers more than $12 million in total prizes – including eight top prizes of $30,000 across more than 2.1 million winning tickets in the game. As a special way to celebrate the opening of the National Medal of Honor Museum in Arlington, Texas, players can bring non-winning tickets to the museum’s Gift Shop to receive 15% off any pre-tax purchase of $25 or more through the end of March 2026.

“The Texas Lottery is proud to generate vital funds to benefit Texas veterans and their families,” said Ryan Mindell, executive director of the Texas Lottery. “For over 15 years, our veterans-themed scratch ticket games have provided meaningful contributions to the Fund for Veterans’ Assistance, and the launch of $30,000 Cash continues that important commitment.”

“From the beginning, our mission has been to inspire and uplift Americans with the stories and values of the Medal of Honor,” said National Medal of Honor Museum Foundation President and CEO Chris Cassidy. “We’re proud to continue our partnership with the Texas Lottery to keep these stories accessible for current and future generations.”

The National Medal of Honor Museum, located at 1861 AT&T Way, in Arlington, will serve as a national landmark and provide an unrivaled, interactive visitor experience that commemorates the sacrifice, patriotism, and courage that connects members of the United States military service past and present. The Texas Lottery is helping to cover admissions costs by approximately 75% for Texas schools. Additionally, through the museum’s Texas Military Program, admission will be completely free for active-duty Texans.

Proceeds from $30,000 Cash will help fund vital services for Texas veterans and their families through the Texas Veterans Commission’s Fund for Veterans’ Assistance. Players can use the Scratch Ticket and Retailer Locator on the Texas Lottery® website or on the Texas Lottery® App to find games in their area. The Texas Lottery reminds the public that anyone purchasing a ticket must be 18 or older and that tickets must not be purchased for minors.
