Texas Lottery Commission earns top workplace award in Austin

AUSTIN, Texas — The Texas Lottery Commission has been honored as one of the best places to work in Greater  Austin, receiving a Top Workplaces 2024 award. The recognition comes from the Austin American-Statesman and is based on employee feedback collected through a survey by Energage.

"Our agency is thrilled to be recognized once again as a Top Workplace in Greater Austin," said Ryan Mindell, executive director of the Texas Lottery Commission. The award highlights the agency's commitment to positively impacting public education, veterans, and charitable causes across Texas, according to the commission.

The survey measures employee experience, focusing on themes such as feeling respected and supported, being enabled to grow, and being empowered to execute. "Earning a Top Workplaces award is a badge of honor for companies, especially because it comes authentically from their employees," said Eric Rubino, Energage CEO.

The Texas Lottery Commission is responsible for generating revenue for the State of Texas through lottery sales and providing opportunities for authorized organizations to raise funds through bingo. In Fiscal Year 2024, the commission achieved its second-best year for total sales and revenue, recording $8.39 billion in sales and generating over $2 billion for the state to support public education and veterans services.
