BATON ROUGE -- This fall, the Louisiana Lottery welcomed two new corporate retail chains to its now 2,800-strong statewide retailer base.
“The Lottery is pleased to expand its retailer network to these two customer-focused chains that are well-known in the communities they serve,” noted Lottery President and CEO Rose Hudson. “Our retailers play a vital role in providing added convenience and service to our players, while also supporting our mission to maximize revenue for K-12 public education in Louisiana.”
On Aug. 16, the Louisiana Lottery completed the installation of its equipment at 56 Walmart locations, including 23 Fuel Centers and 33 Neighborhood Market locations, which will sell traditional Lottery instant-win and draw-based games as well as cash winning tickets up to $600, the maximum allowed by law, at their customer service centers.

Then mid-September, the Lottery brought 21 Smoke’n Go locations in the greater Lafayette and New Orleans regions on board selling Lottery games both in-store and through their convenient drive-through points of sale.
“The Smoker Friendly stores in Louisiana are very excited about adding Louisiana Lottery,” said Smoke’n Go Louisiana Area Manager Tony Martinez. “The Lottery is a big thing in Louisiana, so customers continually ask us when we are getting games. We look forward to the Lottery generating additional customers into our stores. I think it will be a good working partnership between both of us.”
Retailers earn a 5% commission on the sale of Lottery tickets as well as incentives for cashing players’ winning tickets and bonuses for selling large winning tickets. Licensed retailers can be located on the Lottery’s official mobile app and on its website at, louisianalottery.com/where-to-play.
Lottery ticket purchasers must be at least 21 years of age. The Lottery encourages anyone with a gambling problem, or friends of anyone with a gambling problem, to call toll-free 1-877-770-7867 for assistance.
