Oregon Lottery releases new Scratch-Its highlighting Oregon State Parks

The Oregon Lottery has allocated more than $1 billion toward state parks every year since 1999

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — With a popular camping weekend ahead, the Oregon Lottery has released Scratch-Its encouraging residents to visit Oregon State Parks.

The tickets come in three designs, two of them featuring park landscapes and one featuring a fish. The Scratch-Its cost $5 each, and give customers the opportunity to win up to $50,000.

Since 1999, the Oregon Lottery has allocated more than $1 billion toward maintaining and upgrading state parks. The organization named the Champoeg State Heritage Area as one public site that will soon see improvements, such as more RV campsites and cabins.

“Oregon State Parks truly put our state on the map, with some of the most scenic, special places in the country,” Oregon Lottery Director Mike Wells said in a statement. “We’re proud to support State Parks and their impact in our communities across Oregon.”

“We’ve worked together throughout the years to bring unique recreation opportunities to our visitors and are excited this parking permit program will encourage more people to see our state’s beautiful and historic areas without worrying about parking fees,” Oregon Parks and Recreation Department Director Lisa Sumption added.

The Scratch-Its are available at participating retailers.
