The Minas Gerais State Lottery (LEMG) reopened International Public Competition No. 002/2023 – largest offer type – to grant the operation of online lottery games. The event had been suspended at the beginning of April after the municipality accepted a request for objection presented by Consórcio Mineira da Sorte Loterias. The new deadline for submitting proposals is May 27th and, on the following day, the price envelopes will be opened.
The reopening of International Public Tender No. 002/2023 was published in the Official Gazette of Minas Gerais - type of largest offer, for hiring, exclusively within the limits of the State of Minas Gerais, a company to carry out operational activities inherent to the exploration of lottery games via the system online/real time, through the granting of a public service concession.
It was established that the deadline for submitting proposals (in sealed envelopes) will be in force until 4pm on May 27th and the opening of the first envelope, with the remuneration proposal, will be held at 10am on May 28th, 2024, in the Presidente Tancredo Neves Administrative City (CAMG).
The bidding process encompasses the exploration of electronic games through physical in-person (land based) and digital/virtual (cyber space) means, in accordance with the lottery modalities of prediction games provided for in federal and state legislation.
The concession of services also includes the activities of preparing strategic planning, creating games, implementing and operating lottery products, marketing, creating and operating a network of points of sale, marketing games, developing and implementing websites, virtual games and prize payments.
Loteria Mineira informs that, even though the International Competition has been temporarily suspended, the authority “continues with the firm intention of attributing full legitimacy, transparency and fairness to the process. The bidding was preceded by Public Consultation No. 001/2023 (held on October 10, 2023) and Public Hearing No. 001/2023 (held on November 28, 2023), in which contributions suggested by participants for the preparation and improvement of the preliminary business project."
