Registration open: Cibelae Congress - Lisbon 2023 "Betting on Responsible and Safe Gaming"

The XVIII Cibelae Congress will be a highly relevant event, as well as a reference space where collaborations and knowledge exchanges can be generated between the main players in the lottery and gambling sector in Latin America.

The Ibero-American Corporation of State Lotteries and Gambling (Cibelae) informs that registrations are now open to participate in its XVIII Congress that will take place from November 19 to 22, 2023 at the Altis Grand Hotel in Lisbon, Portugal.

Under the motto "Responsible gamblers make good bets", this important event - organized by Cibelae , the World Lottery Association (WLA) and Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa - will bring together leaders and professionals from the lottery and betting industry to address crucial issues and strengthen the commitment to responsible, safe and legal gambling.

With two days of seminars and an exhibition fair, the Congress program will cover the following themes:

  • Benefits of the regulated market.
  • Social responsibility and responsible gaming.
  • Security of the information.
  • Prevention of asset laundering.
  • Women in Lottery Leadership (WILL) Meeting .

The academic part of the congress will focus on the benefits of official and legal gambling. Andreas Kötter, head of the WLA Lotteries and Illegal Gambling committee, will be the keynote speaker in this segment that will bring the issue of illegality to the fore. Andreas will share the results of the analyzes carried out within the committee with regulators and operators and will present strategies to mitigate it.

Likewise, the Cibelae technical commissions for Responsible Gaming, Social Responsibility, Prevention of Money Laundering, Legal Affairs, Product Marketing and Security will make their contribution on the benefits of official and legal gambling, presenting their point of view linked to our region.

Within the framework of the XVIII Congress, Cibelae will hold its Annual Assembly where the members of the new Board of Directors will be elected.
