LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
The Kentucky Lottery is launching its first daily jackpot game.
The "Kentucky Five" game is exclusive to the Bluegrass State and will draw for the first time at 10 p.m. Monday.
Tickets cost $1 to play.
It is similar to Powerball and Mega Millions where you have to match five drawn numbers between one and 39 and can choose the number of drawings you wish to play.
For an additional $1 per play, players can add "Xtra" to multiply their winnings, excluding the jackpot and Match 2 fixed $2 prize.
The jackpot starts at $40,000.
It will grow by at least $5,000 each day until someone hits the jackpot.
