The Texas Lottery Commission has been awarded a Greater Austin Top Workplaces 2022 honor





AUSTIN – The Texas Lottery Commission has been awarded a Greater Austin Top Workplaces 2022 honor by Austin American-Statesman Top Workplaces. The list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by employee engagement technology partner Energage LLC.

A recognition of this magnitude is a great indicator of a culture anchored by teamwork, one that I am so proud to lead.”

The anonymous survey uniquely measures 15 culture drivers that are critical to the success of any organization: including alignment, execution, and connection.

The Texas Lottery Commission generates revenue for the State of Texas through the responsible management and sale of entertaining lottery products and provides authorized organizations the opportunity to raise funds for their charitable functions by conducting bingo.

In FY 2022, the Texas Lottery set a new record with $8.297 billion in sales, which resulted in a record total contribution of $1.998 billion for public education and veterans’ services in Texas – marking the 19th consecutive year that the Texas Lottery generated more than $1 billion in revenue for Texas.

Beginning with the first ticket sold in 1992, the Texas Lottery has generated $35.7 billion in revenue for the state and distributed $77.5 billion in prizes to lottery players. Since 1997, the Texas Lottery has contributed $29.8 billion to the Foundation School Fund, which supports public education in Texas. As authorized by the Texas Legislature, certain Texas Lottery revenues benefit state programs including the Fund for Veterans’ Assistance.
