We are seeking a self-motivated, experienced marketing specialist with excellent marketing communications skills to lead the internal design and production of marketing pieces for public consumption.

This position is responsible for the coordination, planning and execution of Lottery marketing pieces such as sell sheets, game end posters, retailer newsletters, informational posters and Players Club emails. This position also leads, develops and executes the Responsible Gaming and Problem Gambling Awareness and Winner Awareness programs.

 Remote/Telework up to 60%. Note: During the first year you can gradually increase up to 60% based on performance and workload needs. Position Summary

This position is responsible for working with marketing and awareness programs for the Wisconsin Lottery. In collaboration with others, it will create marketing communication products for the Wisconsin Lottery. The position leads the design and production of a variety of Lottery marketing pieces for both internal and external customers (e.g., Retailer sell sheets, game end posters, Retailer newsletters, informational posters, and Players Club emails, etc.). This position works closely with other Marketing Communications staff and program experts to produce products that educate players about Lottery products and programs.

In addition, this position takes the lead role in two Lottery Awareness Programs: 1) Problem Gambling Awareness program, and 2) Winner Awareness Program

Salary Information

Salary for this Lottery Services Specialist - Senior position (schedule-range 07-03) is between $26.00 and $37.00 hourly, depending on qualifications, plus excellent benefits. Current state employees pay will be based on the provisions in the Compensation Plan.  A twelve-month probationary period may be required.

Job Details

The Department of Revenue will conduct criminal background, tax compliance checks and fingerprint checks on candidates prior to offer of hire. Interview results may be reused in accordance with the State of WI interview reuse policy.

Qualifications

Minimum qualified candidates will have experience in each of the following:

  1. Developing original graphic content for placement in marketing pieces/components (e.g. print ads, brochures, point of sale materials, display pieces, etc.).
  2. Producing original informational and/or awareness content (e.g. writing, editing copy, etc.) in a business setting.
  3. Providing website content management and maintenance (e.g. by updating basic content, placement and/or layout, etc.).

Well qualified candidates will have experience on minimum of one (1) of the following (in addition to the minimum qualifications):

  1. Leading the development and production of marketing pieces/components (e.g. print ads, brochures, point of sale materials, display pieces, etc.).
  2. Responsible for informational and/or awareness initiatives/programs (e.g. overall responsibility for planning, implementing, design, and analysis, etc.).
  3. Experience analyzing performance data (e.g. gather, organize, and/or create analytic reports based on key metrics, etc.).
