The Wisconsin Lottery, an over $800 million a year business, is seeking a self-motivated and experienced Instant Product Coordinator, who will be responsible for the product life cycle of scratch and pull-tab games.

Opportunity for you to:

 Be both creative and analytical as you develop Lottery products that will be sold and played around the state of WI.

 Manage the Wisconsin Lottery's instant product line (scratch and pull-tab), including positioning, scheduling, quality assurance, and marketing support for those games.

 Play an important role in identifying key factors for player education and recommending game design and marketing strategies.

 Utilize your research and analytical skills by monitoring and analyzing industry trends as well as market research to make recommendations to improve the Lottery's game mix.

The Wisconsin Lottery, is a for-profit consumer products business within state government that sells its products via a network of nearly 4,000 retailers with almost $900 million in annual sales. This position is responsible for positioning Lottery products within the marketplace to meet projected sales and marketing goals. Specifically, this includes providing input in developing a flexible long-term game plan and a short-term instant ticket game implementation plan. The plan must satisfy consumer demand, ticket contract requirements, statutory and budgetary limitations, and overall prize payout percentage requirements set for the instant products.

This position is responsible for developing and implementing all aspects of launching new instant ticket games and monitoring marketing efforts of existing games. It is also responsible for monitoring all aspects of any particular game's life. This includes the ticket design and production for each game as well as the testing of instant tickets to ensure they meet specifications, including validating through the instant ticket system.

This position is the primary contact with the vendors responsible for printing instant tickets and monitors compliance with the contracts, the entire ticket production and the annual ticket budget. In addition, this position monitors and analyzes industry trends as well as market research and makes recommendations to improve the Lottery's game mix.

This position interfaces with the other Lottery Sections and Bureaus in launching and marketing new games as well as existing games. Current state employees pay will be based on the provisions in the Compensation Plan.  A twelve-month probationary period is required.

Qualifications Minimum qualified candidates will have experience in each of the following:

1. Marketing experience (e.g., new product development, product management, marketing communications/advertising, product positioning, etc.).

2. Experience using Excel spreadsheet software (e.g., creating, sorting, keying data, entering formulas, etc.) and word processing software.

3. Project coordination experience (e.g., scope, roles and responsibilities, scheduling, project evaluations, meeting deadlines, etc.).

Well qualified candidates will have experience in a minimum of one (1) of the following (in addition to the minimum qualifications):

1. Experience developing or enhancing the design of a product, or managing a product through its lifecycle.

2. Experience in internal and external communications, including reviewing content created by others for clarity and accuracy.

3. Experience evaluating products or services (e.g., sales performance trends, identifying strengths/weaknesses, etc.), and making recommendations for improvement.
