Caesars Sportsbook and NYRA Bets are launching a new mobile betting app for horse racing called Caesars Racebook, which will be available to both Apple and Android users this spring.

Sports betting enthusiasts and horse bettors will have pari-mutuel wagering access to over 250 tracks across the globe. Every wager placed through the Caesars Racebook app will earn points in the Caesars Rewards loyalty program, as well.

In addition to placing bets, Caesars Racebook users will have access to race replays and handicapping tips. Caesars Racebook’s betting platform also allows users to watch and wager on computers as well as mobile devices.

Caesars Expands Its Horse Racing Portfolio

NYRA Bets is available in 30 states, but Caesars will have to work with regulators for approval in each respective state. Caesars has horse racing ties through its operation of tracks at Harrah’s Hoosier Park, Horseshoe Indianapolis, Harrah’s Philadelphia, and Eldorado Gaming Scioto Downs.

“NYRA Bets has access to the best horse racing content from around the world including from Caesars-operated racetracks,” Caesars Digital Senior Vice President & Chief Development Officer Dan Shapiro said in a statement.

Competitors In The Horse Racing Space

The launch of Caesars Rewards comes soon after Churchill Downs announced that TwinSpires, its online gaming arm, will focus exclusively on horse racing starting this year.

FanDuel also has a horse racing betting app called FanDuel Racing. The app can be used legally in 22 states, including horse-racing rich Kentucky, New York, California, and Florida.

BetMGM, which previously partnered with NYRA Bets, now has its own mobile horse racing app that’s available in three states. The BetMGM Horse Racing app is legal in Ohio, Louisiana, and Florida.

BetMGM offers wagering on major events such as the Preakness Stakes, Belmont Stakes, the summer meet at Saratoga Race Course, Pegasus World Cup, and the Breeders’ Cup World Championships. Users can also live stream races from international events like Royal Ascot, Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, Melbourne Cup and The Grand National.
