Denmark’s state-owned gambling operator Danske Spil has reiterated its full-year guidance after revenue and profit for the first half of the year remained stable. The company reported H1 2025 gross gaming revenue of DKK2.55bn (£295.97m), up marginally year-on-year.
Net profit of DKK999m (£116.1m) was also stable.
Danske Spil said it still expects full-year revenue of between DKK5.1bn (£592.6m) and DKK5.3bn (£615.9m).
It said growth in lottery activity compensated for the absence of one-off income following the sale of Danske Spil’s stake in fantasy sports platform Swush to Danish tabloid newspaper Ekstra Blade in 2024.
“We are delighted with a half-year in which our lotteries continue to enjoy strong popularity, and where Danes warmly embraced The Big Easter Lotto, a new addition to our flagship holiday products,” said CEO Nikolas Lyhne-Knudsen.
“We look ahead to the second half of the year, where the focus will be on strengthening and developing Danske Spil so that we continue to stand strong in a highly competitive market and unite 1.9 million Danes around the dream of winning for the benefit of the community.”
