Las Vegas-based Caesars Entertainment and the New York Mets on Wednesday announced a multi-year partnership to make the casino operator an official gambling partner of the team.
Terms of the non-exclusive deal were not disclosed.
Caesars said it plans to open a new sportsbook lounge at Citi Field. The sportsbook location will open during the upcoming MLB season and feature 13,000 square feet of space.
“New York is a key state for us following the successful launch of our Caesars Sportsbook app in January,” said Chris Holdren, Co-President of Caesars Digital.
“The Mets’ fanbase is one of the most loyal in baseball and this partnership offers us the chance to treat those passionate fans like Caesars. We look forward to opening our space at Citi Field during an exciting time for the franchise.”
New York State launched sports betting in January of this year.
Caesars, which is live in more than 20 states, obtains the rights to use New York Mets logos and marks, and the sportsbook will have its logo visible during live broadcasts.
