(PRESS RELEASE) -- The U.S. subsidiary of Gambling.com Group Plc, KAX Media America Inc, has been approved by the Sports Wagering Committee of the Tennessee Education Lottery Corporation’s Board of Directors to provide marketing services to licensed gaming operators in the state of Tennessee.
Initially valid for three years, the recently approved license is effective immediately and provides the Group with another excellent opportunity to expand its U.S. services. Home to more than 6 million people and three professional sports teams, the Volunteer State has the foundations already in place to become a future leader in the regulated U.S. market.
Additionally, the Group now has the ability to operate in Illinois, another state rich in sporting heritage and a jurisdiction with huge potential to generate sports betting revenue.
The Group will provide online players in both states with trustworthy reviews of online sports betting operators via its flagship website Gambling.com and its U.S. focused website Bookies.com. Bookies.com offers sports bettors across the United States odds, scores and stats as well as premium news and picks produced by a team of U.S. betting experts, handicappers and veteran US sports writers.
Max Bichsel, VP, U.S. Business for Gambling.com Group said, “The Group’s latest approvals, expanding into new states, mark yet another milestone in our U.S. strategy. We are excited to begin offering our services in the Volunteer State, which has the potential to be a leader in mobile sports betting.”
Bichsel added, “Illinois represents the sheer scale the U.S. market offers the gaming industry. With more than 12 million people and a fervent Chicago sports fan base, the Prairie State will prove to be a significant battleground for the entire sports betting ecosystem.”
Gambling.com Group has been granted regulatory approval to offer its services to operators in Colorado, Indiana, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia since the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act (PASPA) was overturned in May of 2018.
