The Management and Prevention Protocol against COVID-19 in casinos and gaming and entertainment establishments (available at: https://www.economia.gob.cl/2020/03/27/protocolos-sanitarios-para-funcionamiento-de- companies.htm ), allows the gradual opening of gambling casinos that are located in the communes that are in Steps 3, 4 or 5, in accordance with the health protection conditions referred to in the protocol.

The reopening of the precincts located in those communes that are in Steps 3 and 4 is voluntary, while the gambling casinos have the instruction to carry out the mandatory reopening in those communes that enter in Step 5 "Advanced Opening" . To date, they have only opened casinos voluntarily in Steps 3 and 4 since no commune has gone to Step 5. Likewise, once the municipal gambling casino operating companies and concessionaires restart operations, they must maintain operation at least for three days a week, as long as the respective commune remains in Steps 3, 4 or 5.

Taxes collected

The regional governments and municipalities receive the funds from the specific gambling tax, the month following the payment thereof by the operating companies. Therefore, these resources will be received by local governments in February 2021.
