Choctaw enables cryptocurrency for casino gaming
Choctaw Casino & Resorts customers can now fund their gaming with cryptocurrency, thanks to a new partnership with Bitline, a provider for casino chip access directly from cryptocurrency, and Everi.
According to Everi, this is the first time that cryptocurrency and digital assets as a direct source of liquidity have been available in the United States for gaming patrons. Customers are first boarded, screened, and verified by Bitline, allowing patrons to move screened crypto assets into custody, leveraging the payment infrastructure provided by Everi’s CashClub.
The solution was formally rolled out today and the first transaction took place at Choctaw Casino & Resort-Durant in Oklahoma and accepts Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Tether (USDT), and Circle (USDC), according to the cryptocurrency FAQ page on Choctaw Casinos’ website.
“We are excited to be the first casino in North America to offer our guests another way to play,” said Thomas McDonald, Senior Director of Cage and Credit at Choctaw Casinos & Resorts. “Through our long-term relationship with Everi, a leader in fintech solutions, we will continue to invest in innovative offerings that provide the discerning gaming VIP access to funds in a safe and secure manner.”
Victor Newsom, SVP Product Management, Payments Solutions at Everi comments “This unique integration combines BitLine’s additional payment accessibility options with Everi’s ability to enable seamless, secure, and regulatory compliant financial transactions for casino patrons. […] Choctaw’s patrons are now no longer limited to the access, times, amount, and speed constraints of the legacy financial systems.”
Bitline, based in Miami, says it is the only provider for casino chip access directly from cryptocurrency, allowing access to up to US$10 million in casino chips in just minutes, depending on blockchain network demand, at any hour of any day.
“Bitline was conceptualized to advance the gaming sector and offer a wider variety of financial options for the casino industry,” said Richard Jones, CEO at Bitline. “We’re entering an era where digital assets can fundamentally enhance the gaming experience, providing casino operators with a future-ready financial framework that can expand and evolve as the industry does. This collaboration is just the beginning of our vision to modernize casino payment capabilities on a global scale.”
