Argentina.- A project was presented in the legislature of Río Negro to declare the Río Negro Lottery campaign of social, educational and community interest, which won the contest held by the Association of Argentine State Lotteries (ALEA), in the categories of Responsibility Social and Defense of Illegal Gambling .
In this regard, legislator Marcelo Szczygol highlighted the organization's commitment to raising awareness in terms of prevention and reduction of pathological gambling. Likewise, he distinguished the strategic communication policy focused on the promotion and dissemination of responsible gaming, social responsibility and marketing.
The ALEA awards for the best communication were held within the framework of the 71st Ordinary Assembly of the Association of Lotteries, Casinos and Pools of Argentina (ALEA) in the city of El Calafate, in which all the country's lotteries participated.
The active members and adherents of ALEA voted for the best audiovisual pieces in three categories: Product Marketing; Institutional/ Responsible Gaming; and Illegal Gambling Prevention. 36 products were presented and the Rio Negro Lottery was the winner of two: Illegal Gambling Prevention and Institutional Communication/Responsible Gambling.
The legislator also noted that for years the body has been using a communication policy focused on the promotion and dissemination of Responsible Gaming and Social Responsibility.
An example of this is the Responsible Gaming Program , which since 2014 promotes healthy gaming and carries out various awareness campaigns in the population.
This year, Lottery of Río Negro continued with the campaign "You don't play with health" and launched a new telephone line 0800-222-1700 that provides 24-hour service and aims to assist, support and guide people who consider having a gambling problem.
