The Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) whose mission is to enhance the fiscal and financial stability, accountability and integrity of the Government of the District of Columbia is in search of a Licensing Coordinator. This position is located in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), Office of Lottery and Gaming (OLG), Sports Wagering Regulation & Oversight Division. The incumbent is responsible for organizing, reviewing and processing the applications for sports wagering licenses in accordance with District laws and regulations. In addition, duties include but are not limited to:
- Tracking and reviewing license applications and assessing for completeness, communicating with applicants and resolving issues with respect to errors and deficiencies in submissions
- Analyzing and organizing licensing-related issues and clearly presenting these issues verbally and in writing to OLG staff members, and to guide applicants and licensees
- Assisting in developing policies and procedures or making recommendations for regulations to implement to the OLG’s licensing responsibilities under District laws
- Planning and coordinating the development and promulgation of licensing policies and regulations with supervisory staff, Executive Director and Office of General Counsel
- Developing and analyzing licensing processes, provides recommendations for improvement
- Promoting the activities of the OLG, its programs and goals to ensure OLG objectives align with applicable laws, regulations policies and code of ethics
- Assisting other OLG staff in various informational aspects of the licensing process
- Maintaining open communication and working with other operational divisions and other OCFO and District agencies as necessary
- Performing other related duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Two (2) years of progressive experience performing the related duties and responsibilities such as reviewing applications, forms, or other documents for completeness and accuracy; communicating with customers to gather missing information and resolve errors in application or form submissions; processing applications or forms utilizing an electronic document management system; maintaining accurate and up-to-date records; and making recommendations to improve business processes.
