Title:  Public Relations & Responsible Gaming Coordinator 

Location:    Jefferson City, MO

 Starting Salary Range:    $39,700.00 – $42,000.00 Annually

 Responsibilities: 

Individual will serve as the Lottery's responsible gaming coordinator, leading the organization's committee to plan and track its responsible gaming program.  Provide guidance for problem gambling marketing campaign, including public service announcements. Inform and educate other Lottery employees about responsible and problem gambling.  Serve on various committees with other agencies, along with the Missouri Alliance to Curb Problem Gambling, including serving as secretary for the alliance, exhibiting at conferences, preparing the alliance annual report, and writing releases. Plan, write, edit and oversee production of several publications. Interview winners in order to write, edit and disseminate news releases, photos, etc. Schedule, organize, and present at winner news conferences, as needed.  Proof and edit various Lottery materials.  Plan and conduct special events, as needed.

 Qualifications:            

A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 15 earned credit hours in one or more of the following: Journalism, Communications, English, Public Relations, Advertising, Marketing, or a closely related field and two or more years of professional experience in public relations, advertising, marketing, or journalism is strongly preferred. Must know AP style. Applicant should have a good working knowledge of Microsoft products. Experience in HTML, CSS, Dreamweaver and Photoshop is desirable.  (24 earned graduate credit hours from an accredited college or university in the specified areas may substitute for a maximum of one year of the stated experience.)
