Connecticut Lottery Corporation Position Vacancy Announcement (Open to the Public)

Title: Lottery Drawing Manager Location: Security Department Salary: Commensurate with experience (minimum starting salary $87,966)

The Connecticut Lottery Corporation is seeking to hire a Lottery Drawing Manager to perform a full range of administrative tasks as well as manage lottery drawing performers conducting drawings.

Responsibilities of this position will include acting as a liaison with vendors, other state lotteries, television studio personnel and regulatory agency personnel regarding policies and procedures.

Management functions include scheduling, training, assigning and overseeing work and establishing performance standards and coaching of drawing performers. Additional tasks include, but are not limited to, maintaining the integrity and professional presentation of each lottery drawing and preparing procedures, reports, correspondence, and specifications for public bids. Candidates must have considerable interpersonal, organizational, communication and writing skills, with the ability to keep accurate records, and perform related duties as required.

Experience: Qualified candidates must have strong interpersonal skills with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in business, communications or closely related field. Two (2) years must have been in a supervisory role. Bachelor’s degree required, preference for Business or Communications fields. Gaming experience a plus. Television/radio broadcast experience is beneficial. Leadership and influence competencies are critical combined with exceptional administrative expertise. Demonstrated organizational abilities to include attention to detail, outstanding follow through, excellent verbal and written communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Must possess strong problem solving skills as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities. College training may be substituted for experience subject to applicable rules. Must hold a valid Connecticut Motor Vehicle driver’s license, and must be available to work some evenings, weekends and holidays.
