Veikkaus is a Finnish game company. We produce over one billion euros per year for the common good. Our gamblings are played by almost all adult Finns and we have over two million customers. We want our games to be played safely and with malt.

We are looking for Veikkaus ICT for the Game and Service Systems unit in the Data Platforms team

senior and junior-level Big Data developers

for a permanent employment relationship.

Veikkaus will develop its data lake environment towards more real-time data services. The data lake environment of Veikkaus is built to serve both business data needs, more accurate data machine learning and game analytics (Kafka / HADOOP / Pilvipalvelut).

We seek validation for real-time data processing (KAFKA, SPARK) and data lake (HADOOP / cloud services) environment for technical implementation and development. Your responsibility is to manage and develop the Kafka interfaces. It also supports data users as the HADOOP administrator and administrator.

We are looking for confirmation for this team of authors.

Senior-level role You already have the knowledge and experience of the tools, environments and solutions described.

In the Junior Role, we do not expect you to know all aspects of the subject, but we emphasize the interest, the ability to learn and the right person with the ability to grow into senior-level knowledge in the big data development areas.

Your role is to design and implement the required changes to your system of responsibilities. You will be implementing micro-services in environmentally-supported languages, mostly Python and Scala. We value our understanding of other programming languages. We also value devops.

You will be working for example. with the following technologies: Scala, Python, Docker, Linux, Ansible, Skull, Zookeeper. Apache HADOOP ecosystems (mm: HDFS, Flume KUDU, IMPALA, SPARK) and SQL.

You are curious and decisive for your character. Your work style is systematic and development-oriented. Your habit is to document and describe things clearly. Agile ways of working are familiar to you. You are ready to learn all the time and apply your knowledge to your work.
