Nevada casinos near longest $1B+ win streak record in August, above 2019 numbers

The Nevada Gaming Control Board has released figures for August’s gaming revenue.

US.- Nevada casinos took in a $1.17bn gaming win for the month of August, according to a report from the Nevada Gaming Control Board

Casinos on the Las Vegas Strip saw a win of about $625.7m, almost double the win from August 2020, when resorts were still at limited capacity due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Numbers were, however, down compared to this July, when casinos in the state set a new win record of $1.36bn and Strip casinos posted win revenue of $793.67m.

As for taxes, Nevada collected $74.1m in percentage fees based on the revenue generated in August.
