“Florida ranks among the top Lotteries in the nation and continues to prove itself as a dedicated partner to education – generating more than $36 billion for students and schools over the past 32 years. We remain steadfast in our commitment to helping students achieve their dreams, and that begins with an exceptional education. These Lottery dollars benefit every facet of education in Florida, from K-12 programs, to state colleges and universities, to the Bright Futures Scholarship Program, which has helped over 840,000 students achieve their dream of a higher education. We look forward to what the future brings as we continue to help equip Florida’s students and schools with the tools needed to succeed.” Samantha Ferrin, Chief of Sta FLORIDA LOTTERY “Lottery proceeds in Kentucky provide funds for college scholarship and grant programs. Since the inception of these initiatives 21 years ago, over $3,600,000,000 has gone to Kentucky’s best, brightest and most-deserving students. The plans include need-based programs and the merit-based KEES scholarship, along with an initiative specifically targeting in-demand professions in the Commonwealth and a high-school program which pays for students to take college-level classes (and complete most of their first semester before stepping foot on campus). Data shows Kentucky’s best students are staying home like never before to attend college, one of the main goals of these initiatives.” Marty Gibbs, Interim President &CEO KENTUCKY LOTTERY CORPORATION “The Arizona Lottery transfers hundreds of millions of dollars every year, totaling more than $4.3 billion since 1981, funding 18 beneficiary programs that provide critical support to health and human services, economic development, environmental conservation and higher education. We shifted marketing resources to support the Arizona Department of Health and Human Services’ COVID-19 public health messaging and added an emergency sponsorship of Central Arizona Shelter Services (CASS) to bridge the widening gap in funding vital to their eorts to slow the spread in the homeless community. Monies for the Human Services Campus (HSC) are getting Arizonans the documentation and job placement they need to break the cycle of homelessness. Our transfers to the Arizona Commerce Authority are helping to keep small businesses afloat and their employees paid. In March and April, Arizona Lottery retailers earned over $8 Million in commissions and, in just the first 15 days of April, Lottery winners redeemed almost $5 Million in prizes at our two retail locations. In this time of economic contraction, slowing sales and the shuttering of small businesses across the country, the Arizona Lottery is uniquely positioned to significantly mitigate the pain that millions of our residents are suering.” Gregg Edgar, Executive Director ARIZONA LOTTERY
