Friedrich Stickler (President, European Lotteries) said “EL is the only association of betting operators to argue that match-fixing is probably the greatest threat to the integrity of sport. Together with the ICSS we are setting concrete actions and commitments to fight match-fixing and fraud. With this collaboration we want to strengthen each others responses and initiatives. As the historic partner of sport in our Member States, we are actually the strongest defenders of the integrity of sport and daily contribute to important initiatives like the one from ICSS”. |
| “The new visual identity of Sazka is not just a “new coat” but it is a commitment of all those working for Sazka that an entertaining, innovative and reliable company will develop trendily and successfully under the new brand,” says Robert Chvátal, CEO and member of the Board of Sazka. |
| NLPU head of media Michael Thompson told the Holmes Report "The research we’ve done indicate that people who play the lottery want to know what’s happened to that money," added Thompson, noting that while other non-profits are struggling in the current economic environment, the National Lottery's return to good causes has "steadily increased" in recent years, now accounting for 28 percent of lottery income. According to tender documents, the 'My National Lottery' campaign aims to “increase public knowledge of the variety and extent of National Lottery funding to good causes and to encourage National Lottery players to make the link between their spend on lottery products and the impact on communities all across the UK.” |

SILVER SPONSORS
Thank you to all
of you who presented, served on a
panel discussion, and participated
at Smart-Tech. This was PGRI’s
fourth annual event in NYC and has
become a great venue for lotteries
to delve into the most relevant
issues of the hour, and we so
appreciate the privilege of hosting
it and visiting with you. The next
issue of PGRI Magazine will include
an in-depth analysis of the issues
we explored. Too, the conference
was video-recorded and will be made
freely available to everyone on
www.PGRItalks.com. We’ve
received much positive feedback and
hope that everyone accomplished
their objectives. Our next event
will be held at the Trump Miami
Beach Hotel on November 4, 5, 6, and
7th. Lottery Expo Miami
is especially exciting for the
participation from our colleagues in
Latin America. The North America
track is on Tuesday, the LatAm track
on Thursday, and we all come
together on Wednesday. Thanks to the
support of our commercial partners
and sponsors, the hosted receptions
held every night of the conference
have become a wonderful venue to
talk with industry leaders from all
around the world. Please check in at
www.PublicGaming.org for PGRI
conference updates. Thank you again
